METHODS: We conducted a retrospective review of all pediatric cardiac transplant recipients at our institution who had undergone ESE and ANG between January 2007 and December 2010, and with testing performed < 12 months

We examined 196 770 AHF admissions from the Acute Decompensated Heart Failure National Registry-United States and Acute Decompensated Heart Failure National Registry-International registries. Patients were considered RELAX-AHF-type if they met the following criteria: discharge diagnosis of heart failure, systolic blood pressure > 125 mm Hg, dyspnea at rest or with mild exertion, intravenous diuretic use, glomerular filtration rate of 30 to 75 mL/min per 1.73 m(2), hemoglobin > 8 g/dL, and no use of intravenous inotropes or vasopressors.

“A poly(DL-lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA)sandwiched cell/fibrin construct was fabricated to overcome the weak mechanical properties of cell/hydrogel mixtures. This construct was formed with a step-by-step mold/extraction method to generate a middle smooth muscle layer of natural blood vessels. A desired three-layer construct, as an integrated entity with optimized inner structures, was achieved by the control of the size of the molds, the concentration of the polymer systems, and the temperature of the extraction and polymerization processes.
